Untamed Style. What’s Your Sign, Baby?

So this month’s Untamed Style theme was “zodiac sign inspired OOTD”. I almost didn’t participate, as I am in the middle of moving our household, but…when I rediscovered this gorgeous vintage body suit, I knew I had to do it.

I’m a Libra, and like most Libras I’m pretty much in love with being one. I once read a wonderful description of Libra’s written by Linda Goodman. She described us as “an iron fist in a velvet glove”. I think that’s pretty accurate, and it sounds pretty, too. We’re usually hedonistic, peace loving, over thinking, justice obsessed, non committal people. We’re fun to be around, and are very good at making you feel good about you. On the other hand, we’re flaky and indecisive, often. And, of course, we are almost always charming. Charisma, baby!

For the sake of time, I didn’t wear make-up, with the exception of this gorgeous purple lipstick (which you can’t see clearly thanks to camera problems). At first, I donned what should have been a gorgeous ensemble befitting a libra-in-all-her-glory. However…I hated it.

See what I mean? No smiling? That’s a sure sign I’m uncomfortable. This should have been a winner, but I just wasn’t feeling it. So….I stripped it down to what I loved.

Instant smiles! This is now how I will decide what to wear. If I’m not smiling, I’m not wearing it! Okay, okay….this isn’t exactly an OOTD. But who cares?!?!? I felt great! That’s my take away from this post, just do what makes you happy. Life is too short to be uncomfortable, or to try too hard. Just be you!
