Indie Plus Size Designers Revisited

Almost one year ago, I posted this about our indie plus size designers. I was (and remain) so concerned about the future of our trailblazers of fatshion. They are so essential to our community. They are setting the tone for how we, as plus sized women, want to be seen. I, personally, feel it it crucial that we support them in whatever manner we have available to us. For some of us, that means lots and lots of shopping (you’re the lucky ones), for some of us, it’s sharing their work via Facebook or Pinterest. For me, it’s sharing them here. These brands are doing such great work to break the stereotypes of what we can or “should” wear. They are changing societal standards for us. They are saying, very loudly, that we can and will wear whatever we want and look damn fine doing it!

I present to you my 2014 Indie Designer Spotlight!

I love them, you love them, we all love them! The new Pagan Poetry Collection is witch-tastic!

Never one to skimp on the skin, Chubby Cartwheels remains a fave ❤

One the sweeter side, Ashley Nell Tipton’s line is adorable and totally everyday wearable!
Zelie For She is so, so, hot! Shop now or forever feel regret, babies.
Youtheary Khmer is all about pushing the boundaries of what we wear. Colorful! Playful! Sexy!
Possibly my all time fave….Jibri. Just soak it in.

Truly, there is something for everyone there. And yes, sometimes indie brands can be a little pricey, but think about what you are paying for. We are talking about clothing made by women like us, for women like us, with quality, detail and style. Plus, ever dollar we spend with them goes towards more and more and more of the same! Think of it as an investment in yourself.
